The Council consistently seeks volunteers to support its programs and fundraising efforts. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference. Volunteers not only ease the workload but also enhance our impact on the Parish, fostering a sense of fraternity and community.

Despite our busy lives, many juggle jobs and family commitments. Yet there’s always an opportunity to lend a hand.

The rewards of volunteering are diverse, from forging new friendships and acquiring skills to experiencing increased happiness and well-being. While volunteering is crucial for aiding those in need and supporting worthwhile causes, its benefits extend significantly to the volunteers themselves. A suitable match can facilitate new connections, community engagement, and skill development. Beyond external impact, giving back contributes to mental and physical well-being by reducing stress, combating depression, maintaining mental stimulation, and providing a sense of purpose.

Beyond external impact, giving back contributes to spiritual growth and a depending of your faith.

We have a core group of volunteers but we need more helping hands. Our fund raising activities like Delta Bingo and the Rotary Rib Fest, bring in thousands of dollars for our Charity Account, which is used to support priestly formation, seminarians, and other worthwhile causes like Priests for Life and the Rose of Durham. We also volunteer to support many Parish activities, like the All Saints Day Children Party, the Church Picnic, parking control during major Feast days, and countless others.

So, roll up your sleeves and reach out to Council to offer some of your time to your Council, your Parish, and your community.

Reach out to one of your Executive members; send us an email at [email protected]; or come to one of the monthly Membership meetings which are held on the third Monday of each month in the Parish Hall starting at 7:00pm.
